Next, I FINALLY got a chance to make the twirly skirt I've wanted to make for a year. Finished Lillian's after much frustration. I even made a matching scrunchie for her hair. I will be making Ainsley's soon and expect it to go much faster.
I, then, made up my own pattern for a bib that ties in the back. I figure since Eli can pull off all his bibs whether it fastens with snaps or velcro, maybe he will have a harder time with a double knot. But, I am refashioning the pattern, so the pictures will have to wait.
Next, I found a tutorial for a beautiful hair bow. I made one yesterday with pink and brown ribbons, but Ainsley wanted one to match her black, red and white skirt. So, here's the one I made today for her.
Tomorrow, I'm starting on pillowcase dresses for the girls for the fourth of July! I'm having so much fun!

Very creative! I'm happy for you to finally have a decent sewing machine that does all the neat stuff you want to do. So happy to see ribbons in Ainsley's hair. Keep up the good work!
Now I can officially call you a Sew & Sew!
Ha! Pappy, you nut!
I know where you got that hairbow tutorial! Now I have to make that kind too! Where did you get the headbands? I'm thinking the big beauty supply store would have those.
LOVE the skirt!! Can't wait to see more!
The headbands I made myself. They sell that stuff by the yard at the crafting stores. I just stretched it around the girls' heads, cut, and sewed the ends together. Very simple. And probably only about $.50 each.
