I Need Ideas

As I begin thinking about our trip and our first meeting with Wilson, I realize I don't have the slightest clue what toys to take for him. What about snacks? I've heard other families take cookies or some other kind of snack. I've heard that certain toys are a big hit and others aren't. Wilson is 2 1/2. Give me some great suggestions. Please!!

Trucks, trucks, trucks LOL All little boys love any kind of cars or trucks. Bubbles are also a big hit.
Our 2 1/2 yr old LOVES goldfish so we are definitely taking some with us when we pick up Dariya!
Good luck!

Take a stuffed animal of some kind. Timothy loves to "baby" his. Be careful not to set your expectations too high... remember there will be a developmental delay. Timothy really didn't start playing with trucks/cars till he was home. Shape sorters, paper/crayons(maybe), blocks... Snacks... DON'T bother to bring ANYthING with you from here! There are plenty of things you can buy there!! Things here are sweeter and saltier than there, they are used to the foods there so you'll be better to buy them. Yogurt, fruit, pretzels... that sort of stuff is pretty safe to take. Hope that helps!!

I am taking some board books with baby faces, some playdough, and stickers! You can put them on your face to help with eye contact!

Hope this helps!

I've been hearing a bag of balloons is a must! We're soon to be adopting a little one from Hong Kong. ;)
