Just recently, I realized that one beautiful girl there is running out of time. This isn't the "Oh no she's gonna be 5 and institutionalized" running out of time.
This is the "in six months she'll age out and become unadoptable" running out of time.
SIX MONTHS!
That's all she has left for her family to find her.
SIX MONTHS.
And then she will be transferred to an adult facility where she will live out the rest of her days.
Look at this face:
That smile. That beautiful curly hair. Those eyes.
Those images will be etched into my mind for the rest of my life if this girl doesn't find a family. I so want her to find a HOME.
"Laurel" has arthrogryposis. In her country, a bone disorder means this girl has no hope for a future.
My favorite little guy and little girl to follow also have arthrogryposis.
And you know what? They both have that same smile.
How could you not fall in love with those smiles?
With the attitudes that nothing can hold them back?
And yet, for "Laurel", only ONE THING can hold her back.
All she needs is a family.
In the next SIX MONTHS!
Please help me get the word out about "Laurel".
And pray with me that she will have a "hope and a future."
