They Know

Sunday night, Mike and I had the privilege of telling Max and Ainsley that they will have another brother or sister around New Year's! They were thrilled! They both are convinced that this time we are expecting Eli, but we won't know that until delivery. Max wanted to know how big the baby is, so I took a Lentil out of the pantry and showed it to him. I told him that even though the baby is so tiny, he has many of his body parts and his heart is beating! Ainsley put the lentil in her hand and just stared at it. And yesterday, she asked to see the lentil again. It is hard to grasp that something that small could be almost fully formed.

Anyway, Mike and I are extremely excited. Mike is looking forward to watching my belly grow, but not really looking forward to the late night trips to Taco Bell. (the one fast food I crave during pregnancy) I, of course, can't wait to watch my belly move. And I am anxious to share all of it with my children again. Getting to see my favorite midwife again is just an added bonus!

I don't really know what else to say, except I am so glad God saw something in us worthy of another reward! We are truly blessed!
