Lillian started talking just after her first birthday. And her vocabulary has grown rapidly since then. I have been told numerous times to write down all the words that she says, but I haven’t done it yet. Today, however, Lillian is 18 months old and I feel like if I don’t write them down now I won’t be able to list them all.
Max and Ainsley both had a very limited vocabulary until sometime after their second birthday. We used sign language with them to ease some of the communication barrier. Lillian however never used signs. She always preferred to just say the word. To this day, the only sign she uses is “please”. And even with that one she is saying the word.
So, here is my attempt to list all her words by category. It may be long, but ohh and ahh anyway. We are very proud of her and in awe of her vocal ability. One thing’s for sure, she takes after her Maw Maw . . . . . . She’s a talker!!!
(I’ll try to add some of her pronunciations when I think I can spell them.)

I’ve probably left some out, but I’ve done the best I can. She does know a few words to some of her favorite songs, such as, “Jesus Loves Me”, “The Itsy Bitsy Spider”, “Row, Row, Row Your Boat”, "Ring Around the Rosie" and “Thank You God” (the dinnertime prayer). Clearly, verbal communication is something in which this little one excels. I’m anxious to see how much more she learns before she’s two!

Thank you for finally writing these down! Lillian is an amazing little talker - and you left one out: she can say MORE! Maybe if she can't say Ainsley or Sister, you might try Sissy. It won't be long anyway. Maybe she'll be a News Anchor one day!
Impressive!! But the pronunciations are what's entertaining, so I'll be checking back to read those. :)
Thanks for sharing! I love it when kids are learning to talk. So cute!
I can still remember a couple of Brittany's words...probably thanks to some home video footage - and she was my first so I really kept up with her baby-books - multiple - the boys don't even have one. That used to bother me a lot. Now, I apply grace to my failure. : )
It was nice to get your update - I wonder every now and then how you are doing. Sorry I'm not good at following up on my wonders...
WOW!! I'm impressed that you can list them! I would have never been able to list the words Beau knew at one! I think Beau has been talking since he was born. Lillian is so adorable.......
