Pregnancy Update

I'm almost 23 weeks pregnant! Only 17 weeks to go. And the way our schedule is looking, it'll be here before we know it. Now that school has started and cub scouts is back in session, the weeks seem to fly by. And there's so much to do!

I have been feeling great lately. I am to the point in my pregnancy when I don't really feel pregnant. Except when the baby is kicking me or I do too much and my belly aches for a day afterward. Not to mention the fact that it gets harder and harder to do the dishes. I can't reach the water because my belly prevents me from getting close to the sink.

The baby has been very active lately. He likes to move around a lot in the afternoon and evening. Around bedtime is when the real play time begins! Last night, the baby did something that was reminiscent of Max. Both of our girls would move around and kick until you tried to feel the movement. Then they would stop. Actually, Ainsley would freeze and Lillian would move as far away as possible. But Max would just kick back. Well, last night the baby was very active and I told Mike to watch. After he saw a couple of kicks, he put his hand on my belly and pushed. The baby kicked back. They did this for about two minutes. It was fun to watch Mike have that kind of interaction with this little one. I don't think he felt a single kick out of the last two babies.

Anyway, Rene'e (my midwife) is coming on Tuesday. So, I'll know more about heart rates and growth then. For now, I just praise God for a healthy, active baby.

P.S. I use the pronoun "he" for ease. We do not know the sex of this baby.

Wow Jamie,

You may be using 'he' for ease but it sure sounds like you have a baby boy on the way!!

Well, haven't you been the busy one? Changing up your blog background and all ~ very nice! And isn't that an incredible photo! I realize it's not YOUR baby's picture, but to see that he's that developed already - it just takes my breath away. Max may finally get his BRO!
