My family has been big fans of Signature Sound since we first saw them sing on a Gaither Gospel Hour three years ago. Ainsley was two then and would dance and sing to all their songs. She still does.
But by far their biggest fan is Lillian. I have purchased all their DVD's so that she can watch them sing. She wakes up every morning and asks to watch "sig sound" or "harren". (We haven't figured out where she came up with that name but it means Signature Sound to her.)
We listen to nothing but Signature Sound cd's in the car. Luckily, we have all of them. We rarely tire of their music.
Well, last weekend when I called my mom to find out her plans for Sunday evening, she said she was going to the Signature Sound concert. They were in town and we had chosen to wait to see them another time since we are trying to stick to our budget. But I got a bright idea! Lillian doesn't need a ticket! So, my mom, being the wonderful and generous grandmother that she is, agreed to take Lillian to see the concert.

Lillian got all dressed up with tights and dress and even pig tails. She was adorable. She waited impatiently for Nealy and Pappy to pick her up. When they arrived, she ran out the door and told them she was going to see "Signa Soun". Before the concert started the guys were out front selling CD's and such, so Nealy took Lillian to meet them. Now, remember - she is two. She wouldn't talk to them, smile at them, or even look at them. But she still had her picture made with Tim and Ryan.

During the concert, they sang her favorite song: "My Heart is a Chapel". But my mom is convinced that she didn't realize it was live. Lillian watched the whole concert on the big screen! Oh well. She had fun and I have really cute pictures. Maybe when she's older . . . . .

Those great songs we heard Sunday evening have been in my head all week! I want to burst out singing, but I don't sound ANYTHING like them. Signature Sound has everything going for them: talent, harmony, rhythm, choreography, humor, good looks, and a transparent love for their Savior. I could go to their concerts over and over. Did you watch the "I Know the Lord" video on youtube after "My Heart is a Chapel?" The guys were bantering during a show and talking about their backgrounds. Ryan said, "I'll have you know when I was in high school, I was Prom King." Everyone was impressed until Doug said, "Dude, you were home schooled!" Love 'em!
What a SWEET NEALY!
LOVE the new family pic. : )
