The other day, I was reminded to praise God even for the little things. Don't get me wrong. I praise God all the time. I thank Him for lights being green, good parking spaces, happy children, sunshine, rain. I praise God a lot. But I had never thought of this one.
Nealy and Pappy are known for having yummy snacks. Lillian is always going in their kitchen and looking around saying, "UMMM. . . . . I want . . . . _______" You get the idea. Anyway, while we were over there visiting Lillian caught site of a cream pie cookie.
This is how the exchange went:
"Mommy, I want that cookie." "Please!"
"You want this cookie?"
"Yes."
"This cookie right here?"
"Yes."
"This cookie with the cream in the middle?"
"Yes."
"This cookie here in my right hand?"
"Yes."
"OK!"
Throwing hands up in the air, "PRAISE THE LORD!!"
I rolled.
And then thanked God for such a precious daughter.

I praise God for having been witness to Lillian's joy when her mom finally released the cookie! What fun.
What in the world is a creme pie cookie?? They have no shortage of sugar to praise God over, I must say. lol
Come on over an try one yourself, Ging! You never seem to mind sharing the sugar when you're at my house. LOL
