We met him!

Oh what a day! We got up early this morning to get ready for our big day. After breakfast and skyping with the kids, we headed out. when we got to the orphanage we were taken upstairs to the playroom. We took off our shoes and sat down. Just a few minutes passed before they brought Wilson in. He took my breath away. I just wasn't prepared for how beautiful our boy is. He has the most amazing blond hair. And his smile could light up a room. They helped him walk over to us and then he crawled up to me, hugged me and put his head on my shoulder. Oh, I almost cried.
Mike is the first man Wilson has ever seen, so he was cautious at first. He just kept looking at him trying to figure him out. But I haven't met a child yet who can resist Mike's charm. And it didn't take long for Wilson to give in to the temptation to play with his Papa.
We were told Wilson had been in the hospital with pneumonia. He is almost fully recovered, but they brought him from the hospital to meet us. He played ball with us, played the xylophone for us, gave us five, and even kissed us. He showed us how he waves "bye" when someone says "paka". His favorite thing to do was play with our phones. He would hold to phone to his ear and say, "Halloo" which is Russian for "hello", but you probably knew that. You didn't realize you already know some Russian, did you?
Have I mentioned he is precious? Ok, here's the proof!

Ok, upload speeds are very slow and we are exhausted, so that will have to hold you until tomorrow! Paka Paka!

What amazes me about these children in these orphanages is how quick they are to show love and affection to people who are, while soon-to-be-their parents, in actuality complete strangers. He is so cute and these videos are heart-warming and serve to remind us why we are taking this difficult road!
