We had a great weekend! First, we got to enjoy having Daddy home on Friday. We met the Clarks at the park and then went out for lunch together. Some friends stopped by Friday afternoon and all the boys helped Mike cut a huge limb off of our pecan tree in the backyard. We ended the day visiting Nealy and Pappy and going to the park with them. Lillian went down the big spiral tube slide all by herself!
Saturday, we joined the Clarks, Nealy and Pappy, and Bubba and Nana at the park for an egg hunt. We opted not to stuff eggs with candy this year, so our eggs were full of little trinkets and knick-knacks. The kids loved it! Especially the Easter tattoos!
And this morning we all got dressed up pretty and ran off to church. Pastor's message this morning was very uplifting. He spoke on the power of the resurrection. I saw it in a whole new light! Oh, and let's don't forget, the kids got their Peeps tonight! A tradition that started when I was a kid. Every year at Easter, my kids get one package of Peeps. There's just something about those fluffy marshmallow bunnies and chicks all covered in colored sugar goodness! Yum!
