Max had his second belt test today. He was testing for his orange belt, the third of ten. Belt testing is very intense. But first things first. Every student is asked, one at a time, if they made their bed today. If anyone forgot to make their bed, they don't get to test. Thank goodness, no one forgot today!
Then, students are called up by three's and four's to perform what they have mastered. The instructors, Mr. and Mrs. Parrack, are seated behind a table, very formal looking. And the room is filled with all the parents, siblings and some grandparents too. LOTS of eyes critiquing every move!
All the kids did great!! And every one of them earned their next belt.
Max did a fantastic job. Here he is performing his blocks and kicks:
Here Max performs Dan-Gun, the form required for yellow belts:
And this is all the yellow belts performing the self defense they learned. To date, they have learned 4 ways to get away from an attacker. Here are the latest 2:

Max, your moves were clean and sharp. You showed a lot of confidence and energy and it was obvious you really practiced. I'm very proud of the way you performed - you really earned that belt!!
Love you,
