Spring Fling 2008
Created with Admarket's flickrSLiDR.
Yesterday, we celebrated our first annual Spring Fling. A birthday party for all Wooddell and Clark kids with spring birthdays. Ginger and I decided instead of having 10 birthday parties a year, we should just have two! So, this was a celebration of Max's 9th, Isaac's 7th, Ainsley and Daniel's 4th, Lydia's 3rd, and Lillian's 1st birthday!
Everyone had a great time! I started the day at 5:30am by making dough for the cinnamon rolls we were taking for the pot luck brunch. Then Mike helped me by icing the cupcakes I had made Friday night. He also helped me finish the breakfast casserole I decided to make at the last minute. We pulled the cinnamon rolls and the casserole out of the oven precisely at 9:30. Time to go to the park!
The weather cooperated perfectly. It was cooler than we had hoped, but not too bad since the winds had died down. The park was a little muddy, but what's a little mud anyway!
Our friend Angela Kirsch came as a face painter and she was the hit of the party. Every child got the royal treatment with extravagantly decorated faces. Even Nana got a little pizazz!
Then the kids got to open their presents and have cupcakes. Lillian really liked her cupcake!!
Like I said, we all had a great time and I can't wait until our Fall Fest in October.
