She Begged

And only because it's not pretty to see a grown woman beg, I am updating my blog. Of course, since I haven't updated in 12 weeks, I have lots of subjects to choose from. I'll start with the one I found the most fun - and funny.

Several weeks ago, when tucking Max and Ainsley into bed (they share the same room) Mike decided to look behind the bookcase. Much to our surprise, he found a whole stash of clothes. Most of the clothes were Max's. Some were Ainsley's. But most importantly we found the pair of jeans that Max was told, just five minutes before, to hang up. After then cleaning out the clothes from the bottom of their closet; and having been through this same situation multiple times before - inspiration struck.

So, the next day Max and Ainsley had to wear all the clothes they had failed to hang up to co-op. And when asked why they had on so many clothes, they were forced to reply "Because I disobeyed my parents and didn't hang up my clothes."

Here's what all Max had to wear:

(7 shirts, 1 pair of shorts, 1 pair of pajama bottoms, 1 pair of jeans and a pair of overalls)

Ainsley wasn't as bad:

(4 shirts and 2 pair of pants)

In hind sight, I still think it was funny. Not as effective as I had hoped though. They have very short memories.

I remember this day well! It was quite humorous and extremely clever on your part I might add! :) However, I didn't know about Ainsley!!! That day she was under the weather a bit and couldn't stay for co-op. Perhaps she got overheated?!?!? HAHAHAHA!
Every mom at co-op thought you were MOM of the MONTH for that idea!!!

When you are no longer on bedrest please come over and help me get started on a blog. I keep trying to get enough "umph" to do it but then ....nothing!!!

It was I, Nealy, who begged, and I'm so glad you remembered to blog about this incident. I thought it was extremely clever and one of my clients responded, "Sounds like good parenting to me!" I am disappointed that it didn't make more of an impression on those two. Maybe they should start each day wearing what is found on the floor of their room! THANK YOU - KEEP GOING!

Yes, Krista, Ainsley did it too. She insisted, even though she didn't feel well and the punishment was more for Max since Ainsley can't hang up her own clothes yet.
