I Have a Secret

I wasn't going to tell you. But I would love your prayers on this matter. And besides, this may just be the answer to some burning questions.
I'm just going to say it.
I'm pregnant.

Whew! That was a hard secret to keep.

I am 12 weeks pregnant and we leave tomorrow for a four week trip to another country. See why I wanted your prayers?
Not just that, but I have horrible morning sickness in the beginning of my pregnancies. It is normally over by 12 weeks and that has held true for the most part. But yesterday, was not a good day. I kept almost nothing down. Maybe it is nerves. I don't know. I DO know that I want to be comfortable on our REALLY long flight to Zeb's country. So, please pray for that specifically. No sickness on the planes!

I'm sure you have a million questions now. Let me answer a few real quick, then I have to go to bed.

This pregnancy took us completely by surprise. As soon as we found out we were expecting, I contacted our agency to let them know. They responded that it should not be a problem to continue at this point. They then contacted our facilitators and after asking if we wanted to postpone until after the baby is born, they said no problem we'll just need a home study update for court. Our social worker wrote a glowing report for us that stated she believes we will be able to handle our adopted child and a newborn without problems; and she recommended we be able to adopt Zeb. Just a few more hoops to jump through, but God is amazing! And His timing is ALWAYS perfect!

The best part is: Zeb will be a big brother (again) just 5 short months after he gets home!

WOW! Congratulations. God sure does love to surprise us in our lives, doesn't He? ;-) God's blessings to you. If you are still worried about sickness, send me a little note. I was medicated through all three of my pregnancies because my "morning sickness" never went away.
Did you see our news on our blog? Looks like we get to add to our famil too :)

That is such wonderful news. I am so glad that everything is still good for you to go and get Zeb. I can't wait for you to get him home.

I don't know if you follow the Cox family but they found out while in country they were pregnant and just found out they are having twins.

I will be praying that you feel well on your trip.
