Wow! Could it have been 9 years already? I have loved every minute of it. Max, you make me smile. You are so kind and thoughtful. You make my heart swell every time you offer to help one of our neighbors in some way. You are so smart. I love watching you read books to your sisters and learn how to do something new in school like multiply and write in cursive. You are a young man of God. I thank God every time you pray for one of your friends or for our family. I also stand in wonder when I hear you boldly telling your friends about Jesus.
Watching you grow has brought more joy to my life than I can explain. I pray that you will always keep to the path that God has planned for you. Seek Him in all you do. And never hesitate to ask Daddy or me to pray for you. About anything!
We love you Max! Happy Birthday!

Ohhhhh, all those stages! I'm so grateful to be live so close to all my GKs so I can see them often. Max went thru a short phase of being "too grown up" to hug me willingly, but thankfully, it didn't last long. He gives the best hugs! Our favorite times with him were singing hymns in the car so he'd stop crying and watching him listen (and direct) Rossini! I once asked, "Who loves you, Max?" expecting him to say Mommy, Daddy, God. His reply: "ROSSINI!" Sweet memories. Happy Birthday, Max!
We love you!!

Beautiful post Jamie. Such precious words from a mom to her son. I agree with you that he will stay on the path that God has for him! Max is a good boy!
Happy Birthday, Max! Seeing you and your daddy together at church was so awesome. He's obviously so proud of you! You are very loved!
