One of my very first posts was about Pat, our
adopted grandma. Well, recently we decided that Ms. Pat needed a grandma name since she is such a huge part of our lives and our children adore her. So, we started trying to decide on the best one. Max liked Granny. I hated it! Sounded to old and frumpy for our beautiful, hip grandma. I liked Gran. Max said Gran Gran. Ainsley said Granny Gran. So, my mom said GG. Well, GG is what
my grandmother was called by her "greats". It stood for Great Grandmother. Max wasn't sure he could give that name to someone else. But we decided that for Pat the two G's would stand for Gorgeous Grandma!
Not long after we told Pat about her new name, she sent a note to us and signed it "Gigi". And I love that. It fits her perfectly!
So, I would like to introduce you all to the newest member of our family - Gigi - the only person I know who could love all our kiddos as if they were her own!

Gigi is a perfect name, I agree. Very cute.
We had so much fun at McDonald's yesterday - overwhelmed the staffer with our huge order! Lillian enjoyed her first romp in the playground. Pat and I became friends in 1997 when we both attended a computer class at Richland College. Jamie & I started having monthly breakfasts with Pat (now Gigi) when Max was a baby and have only missed a couple in all these years! She's SO very special to us all!!
